Ben the dog

The Local Pet Pantry is in our dog Ben’s memory and honor.

We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the families of Mifflin and Juniata Counties in Central Pennsylvania keep their pets in their home by providing free pet food to those who are in need. Our goal is to help prevent families from surrendering their pets to a shelter during economic hardships.

Animals are a huge part of our lives. Now more then ever we need to keep donations and funding coming in. During these hard economic times, we need to remember that pets also need to eat. The Mifflin Co. and Juniata Co. Pet Pantry, Inc. is here to help. We are running on donations and fundraisers alone. If you have a friend or family member who has food, toys, bedding, leashes or other pet supplies that are no longer needed, please let us know so we can put them to use with families who do need them.

If you belong to a group, organization, church or just love animals, contact us to learn how you can host a pet food drive.

We distribute through our local food banks (The Mifflintown Food Bank and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard in Lewistown), make home deliveries, or can make arrangements for food pick up.

Any businesses that would like to donate or sponsor a drop-off donation box will be added to our list of sponsors. Your time and donations are in great need. Feel free to contact us or call with any questions. Thank you for your help!
